Growth Without Borders: A Global Leaders' Toolkit
A Practical Guide to Building and Thriving in an International Career
By Eva Aimable-Kolosko
Paperback and Kindle · Available on Amazon
The lessons, mistakes and tools from building a career across eight countries, and the framework that came out of it.
A toolkit, not a travel diary
This book is not the digital nomad fantasy. There are no stories here about selling everything, quitting the job and freelancing from a beach. I respect the people who choose that. It’s not my path and it’s not this book.
This is for people who see their career growth differently, who understand that opportunity is global, and who want to build something real and sustainable across borders while staying grounded in what that work demands.
How to land your first global role, even coming from a small country
How to adapt and lead in different cultural contexts
How to communicate, influence and build trust across borders
How to stay authentic while evolving into a truly global professional
Global careers are not built only on passports or privilege. They’re built on courage, preparation, perspective and a willingness to grow beyond who you were yesterday.
Reader ReviewsWhat readers are saying:
Written for people building something across borders
The leader in a global organization.
You are managing across countries, time zones or cultures, and you have worked out that the approaches that got you here don’t automatically travel.
The one in the room who does not look or sound like everyone else.
You are carrying a pressure nobody has named for you.
The person starting over somewhere new.
You have arrived with real experience and are discovering that it doesn’t count for what you expected it to.
The person who has not gone anywhere yet.
You can see the possibility and it still feels like it was meant for someone else.
Ambitious, curious, adaptable, and ready to grow beyond your home country. Whether you come from a major economic hub or a corner of the world nobody can point to on a map.

Why I wrote it
I wrote this book because I was trying to make sense of my own move abroad.
When I started working across borders I was looking for guidance, and what I found was tactics. How to land the job, how to negotiate the move, how to settle in. Nobody told me how emotional leadership and life abroad can be, how much resilience starting over takes, or how much courage it takes to stay visible when you’re the only person in the room who looks or sounds like you.
I am not a leadership guru, nor do I claim to be. There are others far more qualified. Like every leader, I carry my own series of mistakes, missteps and lessons learned the hard way. That is exactly what this book offers.
This is the book I needed when I started. It won’t make you a perfect leader. But it should make you a better one than you were last year.
Keep being Global, Grounded and Growing, in whatever corner of the world you stand.

For organizationsCopies for a team or a cohort
The book works well as the shared reading behind a leadership program, a manager cohort or a talent development track. It gives a group the same language before anyone walks into a room together.
If you’re running a program, get in touch about bulk copies, signed copies, or pairing the book with a Global Leader's Compass™ workshop.
